I have received the MS degree in Astrophysics and Cosmology at the University of Bologna in 2009 and the Ph.D. in Astronomy from the same university in 2013 (“Multiple stellar populations in globular clusters with photometry and low resolution spectroscopy”).

After one year and a half post-doctoral position working on Gaia-ESO data at the Observatory of Bologna, I moved to Liverpool to join the Astrophysics Research Institute for a two-year postdoc in extra-galactic spectroscopy (Professor Ben Davies Supervisor). In 2016 I was offered a 4-year post-doctoral position in globular clusters and galaxy formation at the same institute (Professor Nate Bastian Supervisor). Nonetheless, shortly after in the same year I was also awarded an Ambizione grant at the Laboratory of Astrophysics of the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, where I moved in April 2017.

In December 2020, I was appointed to the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Bologna University as an Assistant Professor (Rita Levi Montalcini grant 2018).
